DriveCast Stars and Stripes

Versione italiana: DriveCast a stelle e strisce

Giorgio Bernardi, Inrete CTO, has just showed the potential of DriveCast at Auto Venture Forum in Detroit (Michigan, USA), a one-day opportunity for selected entrepreneurial ventures to present their innovative products to panels of automotive company executives, organized by ASME and Clemson University (website of the event: AutoVenture Forum Detroit).

As the only European technology, DriveCast was so proud to be part of this big event and showed to the audience the potential of an on-the-cloud application that is the most convenient way for users to listen to their radio shows and podcasts while driving.

With the new trend of Internet connected cars, the automotive sector is looking for innovative solutions allowing users to go beyond the classical music consumption in the car: DriveCast is the perfect deal! It offers the fusion of multiple devices, a set of tools centered around the user’s media preferences which follows them into a given day’s different contexts even in the car.

Video killed the radio star?!

Versione italiana: Il video ha ucciso la radio?!

DriveCast first releases were really made around the car and our goal was to make easy to organize your audio items and to listen to them.

But now with all the DriveCast clients available for smartphones, tablets and connected TVs, video is as important as audio, so even the web interface has to give it the due respect and we are happy to announce the new video play feature now available on http://drivecast.eu.

A new video player is now available to play your favorite videos when you logon to the web with your DriveCast account: whatever is playable on a browser is now playable on your DriveCast account. Besides using Flash we also try to leverage the new HTML5 capabilities where available, so that you can have a new tool that is easy and fun to use.

According to your browser and to the add-on you installed you can freely play a multitude of video formats like Flash Video, H.264, Theora.
